I ordered Prime Rib, medium rare. Came rare, red blood all over plate. So, so! My daughter ordered tenderloin steak, we believe the meat was bad, she tasted it and I tasted it, definitely bad! No flavor whatsoever. Service okay, nothing to write home about.
I like visiting local restaurants and respect permanence. We went with the best intentions, but it was a disappointment. I will start by saying that the service was friendly, and the kitchen looked clean; we ordered a soda, and the taste was terrible; it was a bad omen for the food to come. We ordered cheese sticks; the taste was like old oil, and the color was almost burnt. We ordered hamburgers; we played it safe; they were small, dry, burnt on the outside, and without any taste. The oily side dishes, forgettable hashbrowns, burnt on one side and raw and oily on the other, I barely tried them, and I couldn't continue eating. We spent a total of 65 USD. It would have been fair if the experience had been good, but it wasn't worth it; I wouldn't have paid even half for the same meal. I can list at least three restaurants where I could have had the same meal for half the price and a much better experience. I like to support local restaurants but try to provide quality service. The place needs paint, a better smell, and freshening the atmosphere. The food needs love and care.
We had a group of 14 and our server did an excellent job. All food was good except my nephew did not care for the sauce on his ribs. We didn't say anything though. I would definitely suggest coming here for a nice dinner!
Great meal for the price. The walleye pike was not as good as I remembered, but still good. Apple crisp excellent.
Service was average at best, fried chicken was so over cooked and dried out. Pork chops were also on the well done side but edible. Used to really enjoy going there and have been many times as we live near by but not sure we will be back.
This was the first time I visited the place and the food here is really nice.! I loved the French toast and the hash browns. They were really yummy and we ordered The Cajun, this was not as expected. But over all the food was good.! Restaurant was neat and clean and busy in the morning time around 10.
They get 1 star because there is no lower rating.
The first place I've ever gone where they go out of their way to make you feel unwelcome.
The salad was good (you can't screw up lettuce and carrots).
I ordered the Pepper Sirloin steak. They brought it without any of the crusted 12 pepper blend. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she took it back and made a reasonably edible steak TOTALLY unedible. The 12 blend of peppers was a pile of nastiness on top of the steak. They could've at least put it back on the grill... (the picture below is after I tried to make it edible by spreading the pile of whatever it was they piled on top)
The kids had burgers... not good burgers. The buns were not even warm. McDonald's does a much better job with food preparation and presentation.
They did offer to replace my steak. I asked them to pack it to go. When they brought it to the table, the bag was dripping juice. I'm not sure I even want to try it.
For the $90 I was charged, I would've done much better at Burger King or just buying my own steak and cooking it myself. Then I could've put it in my dog's dish and I would've still felt better treated and enjoyed it better.
On the other hand... they surely do not need my business and it was clear that they did not want my business. I wonder why...?
Absolutely love this place come as you are down to earth laid back easy going atmosphere and food is amazing
